For Interior Designers
We Build What
You Design.
On Time. On Plan.
A general contractor in Sonoma & Marin, built to be a designer's build partner. We follow your lead, document obsessively, and don't redesign on the fly. Scroll the work — that's the pitch.
A Build Partner For Designers
You spend months developing a vision. The wrong build partner kills it in a week. We've watched it happen — that's why we do this differently.

Who Runs SRS
Kelly + Ryan

Kelly Trabert
Client Coordination + Co-Owner
Sonoma County native. Lost her family home in the 2017 Tubbs Fire and rebuilt — that experience is why fire restoration sits at the center of what we do. Kelly is the single point of contact for designers and clients: scheduling, weekly photo updates, change orders, and the long tail of decisions that shape every project.

Ryan Trabert
Lead Builder + Co-Owner
Air Force veteran with a master's in construction management. Raised on his father Don's job sites — Don built custom homes for fifty years across Hawaii, California, and Idaho. Ryan is on-site every day across active projects: framing reviews, sub coordination, finish-level QC, and the standards that show up in the final walkthrough.
Why Designers Work With Us
Four things that make the design hold up through the build
We Follow Your Lead
No on-the-fly redesigns. No "we substituted this because it was cheaper." Your spec is the blueprint. If a real issue comes up, we call you before we touch anything.
We Document Everything
Jaime is a professional photographer. Every project gets full documentation — pre-construction, in-progress, completion. You leave with a portfolio asset, not just a finished room.
On-Site Every Day
Ryan (Air Force vet, master's in construction management, raised on his father Don's job sites) is on the build daily. The design holds because someone's watching it constantly.
Clear Communication
Kelly runs client comms. Single point of contact, weekly photo updates, clear schedule. You and your client are never wondering what's happening on site.
Honesty Up Front
What we don't do
We'd rather tell you now than find out at the wrong moment.
Mid-project redesigns
If a real issue comes up that requires a design change, we call you before we touch anything. We don't make creative decisions without you.
Bid-shopping subs
We run with the same trades on every job — most have been with us 10+ years. We don't swap them mid-project to save a few dollars.
Mystery change orders
Every change is documented, scoped, and priced before work happens. No surprise invoices at the end.
Ghosting on warranty work
We respond to warranty issues within 48 hours. We're local. We're not going anywhere.
No job too small or too large
From a single bathroom refresh to a full custom home — we do it all. We pride ourselves on bringing the same care and communication to every project, regardless of size.
Work outside Sonoma + Marin + Napa
We don't take jobs in San Francisco or the East Bay. Drive time eats into the schedule and quality of supervision we can offer.
How It Works
Designer-led collaboration, start to finish
Every step photographed by us. Every step yours to inspect.
01
Pre-Construction Review
You bring the design — drawings, finishes, schedule expectations. We pre-flight buildability, budget, and dependencies. Risks get flagged early so they don't derail you mid-project.

02
Demolition + Site Prep
Existing conditions documented before anything comes out. Hazardous materials handled per Sonoma County code. Site protection and clean staging from day one.

03
Structural Build
Framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, insulation, drywall. This is where most projects lose time on bad coordination — Ryan walks every trade through every day.

04
Finish Work
Cabinets, tile, trim, hardware, paint, lighting. The phase where the design either holds or falls apart. Detail-level installs done by trades we've used for a decade.

05
Walkthrough + Punch-list
Final walk is yours. We don't close out until you sign off on every detail. Punch-list items resolved within 14 days.

Designer FAQ
Questions designers actually ask us
What's your minimum project size?
No minimum. We do everything from small bathroom remodels to full custom homes. Same licensed team, same communication, same standards — whatever the scope.
How are change orders handled?
Every change gets scoped and priced in writing before work happens. We won't proceed without your sign-off, and you won't get a surprise invoice at the end.
Who's the day-to-day contact?
Kelly. One person, always — schedule, photos, decisions, change orders. Ryan handles trade coordination on-site, but you and your client work with Kelly through the project.
Do you do design-only work, or only design-build?
Build-only is our lane. We work alongside the designer; we don't replace the designer. If you're the design lead, we're the build partner.
What does your typical project timeline look like?
Kitchen-only remodels: 8–12 weeks. Whole-home remodels: 4–8 months. New construction: 10–18 months from permit. Real timelines, not optimistic ones.
Where do you work geographically?
Sonoma County, Marin County, and parts of Napa. We don't take jobs in San Francisco or the East Bay — drive time eats into the daily on-site supervision we want to deliver.
How do you handle warranty issues after close-out?
Standard one-year warranty on all work. We respond within 48 hours, in person. We're local. We're not disappearing after the punch list.
Can the designer be the day-to-day contact instead of the homeowner?
Yes. Some designers want to own the homeowner relationship through the build; others want to step back once we're on site. Tell us at kickoff and we'll match it.
