We offer in-house design services for all of our construction and remodeling projects. That means 3D renderings so you can see exactly what your space will look like, in-person material selection so you can touch and compare options, and a detailed plan that keeps the build on track. As a general contractor in Sonoma County, we've found that investing time in design upfront saves time and money during construction.

Why It Matters

Most change orders and budget overruns happen because decisions weren't made before construction started. When you're picking tile colors while the tile setter is waiting, it costs everyone time and money. Our design process front-loads those decisions — layout, materials, fixtures, finishes — so that when construction begins, everyone knows exactly what's being built. It's not about being rigid; it's about being prepared.

3D Renderings

We create photorealistic 3D renderings of your project so you can walk through your new kitchen, bathroom, or living space before construction begins. You'll see the countertop material next to the cabinet color next to the backsplash tile — and you can make changes on screen instead of on the job site. It's the single most effective way to avoid the 'that's not what I expected' moment.

Material Selection

Choosing materials from a screen is one thing — seeing them in person is another. We offer in-person material selection sessions where you can see and touch actual samples of tile, stone, wood, fixtures, and hardware. We'll help you narrow down the options based on your style, your budget, and what actually holds up in real life. We also work in Marin County and are happy to meet at local showrooms if that's more convenient for you.

Do I need design services if I already have an architect?

Our design work complements your architect's plans. Architects handle the structural and spatial design; we focus on the interior details — materials, finishes, fixtures, and the overall look and feel. The two work together.

What are 3D renderings?

They're photorealistic digital images of your project. You'll see your space from multiple angles with the actual materials and finishes you've selected. It's the closest thing to walking through your finished project before it's built.

How does material selection work?

We set up in-person sessions where you can see and compare real samples — tile, stone, countertops, cabinet finishes, fixtures, hardware. We curate options based on your style and budget so you're not overwhelmed by choices.

Does the design phase add time to my project?

It adds 2-6 weeks upfront, but it typically saves more time during construction by eliminating delays from undecided selections and change orders. It's a net time-saver.
